Well yesterday was the big event-our trip to the TIDE POOLS! We had so much fun meeting some of the creatures that we have learned so much about in school. There were crabs, limpets, periwinkles, clams, mussels, and even some eels and lobsters! The day was a great success and I was so proud of my first grade scientists when I heard them sharing all of their knowledge about tide pool organisms with their friends and parents. They are experts-we may even have some future marine biologists on our hands! Thank you to the PTO for making this wonderful day possible and also to the parents for joining us! We are looking forward to seeing our families at the Tide Pool Boogie next Tuesday, June 16th, followed by a visit to our classroom!
Because I was so busy exploring (and trying not to slip on the seaweed covered rocks) there are only a few pictures from our fun day!
Yesterday, Fuller Meadow students were lucky enough to travel to Howe-Manning to see the sixth grade performance of Beauty and the Beast. It was such a pleasure to see such talent in action! The first graders were especially excited to see some people they know perform a familiar story. Great job, sixth graders and thanks for having us!
